Saul Bass

Used a variety of styles of work. I liked the Squence titles he created for films. They set the mood for the film or like mininariatives which preper the viewer. They are almost like a shortened down version of the films. Almost like a trailer or preview.

Some of his squences such as the one ofr vertigo, put you in a trans and are hypnotioc, very abstract. They are very smooth and cool as each squence blends in and out of each other. Very stinct and noticable.I feel that i can take inspriation from his work. I feel the whole aspect of the title squences, preparing the viewer and setting the mood, can be used in my work some way.

My favourite squenece is Ocean Eleven. Like most squences it flows and is very smooth. The music and graphics move in harmony. The type is colourful and playful, something that is not a feature in alot of his squences. It's a kind of broadway, city nightlife font, whichs works well with the black background.
