I feel this comic rythmically flows through. There are alot of award angles and non harmonic colours. But by sticky to these 'rules' each page is similar to the other. I don't really like these as much as the other peices. In relation to El Lissitsky, I feel it is more free and open, more user friendly, were as this is like a mess.
In this page inparticular, it is visually uncomfortable. There is no rhythem or harmony. I feel there is too much contrast in colour from the dark greyish areas to the varibrant colour. I feel there is too much point which makes it dull. I feel that it has no direction there is no 'starting point' for the eye. I feel that this is because there are too many geometric shapes. I feel there is very little balance due to the lack of hegative space.
I feel that all this combined creates a busy chotic mood. An illustraion of thoughts, very surreal. This may be what Chris Ware was trying to achieve, if this is so then he has visually achieved what he wanted to do, but i just don't like it.
